Taj and Jason had an epic ceremony and reception at the very gorgeous The Guild Inn. Taj got in touch with us after the Fall Must Be Kismet Show and we instantly clicked. She wanted something simple, yet beautiful and sophisticated. As the venue in itself is so nature inspired, they didn’t want anything over the board. “Less is More” fit perfectly for their style. They both had some out of the box ideas but were confused as to which direction to take. They wanted their day to represent who they are - easy going, fun loving and nature lovers. After a few creative meetings, we concluded on the round arch with assorted greens and hints of florals. Since we wanted to repurpose their ceremony decor and bring it into the reception room, we wanted to create something that would look perfect in both spots. The backdrop for the reception was set against the large window overlooking the stunning outdoor space that the venue has to offer. Their centrepieces were a mix of manzanita trees with florals and hanging tear drops along with three tier cylinder vases with assorted greens and florals around them. The jaw dropping cake was designed and prepared by the mother of the groom. Congratulations Taj and Jason - we loved being a part of your special day. The event was perfectly executed by Susan and team from Beyoutiful Beginnings.

Maisha and Mushroor's floral fantasy wedding at Royal Ambassador
Maisha and her family visited us literally two weeks before her wedding! Her wedding vision was epic. I loved how they wanted full blown florals on the stage and same continuation in their centrepieces. Getting it all done within a two week time frame was definitely a challenge in already such a busy summer. However, what she wanted was so stunning that we definitely wanted to be a part of it. The idea was to have a very simple backdrop but adorn it with a splash of colours with florals. We used different tones of pinks and balanced some creams and ivories. The cake table was definitely a focal point - we used over 600 fresh roses to create this larger than life cake table with trailing roses. We were in communication with Fine cakes by Zahra who did a stunning job with the cake design and we continued her art piece with the fresh florals. The event was perfectly planned by SAWC planners.

Tanya and Nikhil’s gorgeous wedding at Hilton Markham
Can we agree that outdoor or outdoor inspired weddings are the best? Beautiful Tanya and her love Nikhil said I do under our open rustic wood mandap detailed with pretty groupings of white and ivory flowers with hints of soft pinks. An aisle, flanked with florals and lanterns, led to the beautiful wedding mandap. The sleek structure gave the decor a sophisticated look and transitioned the traditional floral design to a slightly more modern look, while retaining an elegant and chic feel. After a lovely cocktail hour, guests were seated the in the next ballroom for a beautiful dinner reception. The reception space had traditional structures embraced with fresh florals repurposed from the ceremony space. Our team created low floral centrepieces to create visual interest on the tables with high low candles. I loved the ivory, gold and blush pink and mixed foliage floral palette.

Feature on WedLuxe “Modern Romance in the city”
October 03, 2018 Design Mantraa got featured on WedLuxe Blog “Modern Romance in the city” This style shoot was inspired by a modern bride who marvels simplicity, yet seeks for something stunning and sophisticated. The fresh florals were a combination of peonies, spray roses, garden roses with accents of greens. We went with a colour palette of soft pastels in peach and whites to play as contrast against the strong colours of the carpet that Shangri-La (Toronto) had.
